How can a music festival streamline information access?
Every year, the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art hosts a music festival called Solid Sound. Performances by musicians are mixed with camping and naturalist activities in North Adams, MA. The challenge was to create a memorable invitation beyond the typical card.

A unified physical and online experience
The invitation needed to be a hybrid of both a physical and digital experience. The physical invitation not only contained information on the event, but also served as a convenient portal to the website via QR code. It needed to be intriguing so to not be quickly discarded. Inside of an addressed envelope was a folded invitation with the event’s details. Upon opening, the invitee would find that hidden inside was a record sleeve holding a vinyl record. The actual ticket purchase along with lodging arrangements and additional details took place online.
